Care Assistant Job (Evenings) – Westheat Care Homes

£12.66 (£26,332 a year based on a 40-hr working week)

Penmount Grange is seeking to recruit a Care Assistant for an evening role (6pm-10pm) at either Full Time or Part Time, who will be a caring, committed, and reliable member of our team.

Experience is desired, but not a requirement for employment.

Penmount Grange is owned and operated by Westheath Care Homes (Staffing) Ltd. The company provides care staff at 5 care homes in Bodmin, Lanivet, Lewannick, and Bude, all of which have obtained and maintained a ‘Good’ CQC Rating.

Prior to final confirmation of a job offer, the company will carry out an interview, references, and an Enhanced DBS Check (this will be paid for by the company, however may be repaid to the company should you leave within the Probation Period of 3 months).

Once the job offer has been accepted, you will be enrolled into our induction programme, which consists of CPD certified training, introduction to the home and our online platforms, followed by shadow shifts, enabling you to become confident and trained for your role.

As part of your role as a Care Assistant, you will be expected to:

– Provide person-centred emotional and physical care for service users, seeking to provide a happy, stimulating, stable, and safe environment.

– Attend and participate in training and staff development programmes.

– Prepare and serve food to ensure standards are met in respect to nutrition, health, diets etc.

– Assist service users with mobility, washing and bathing, toileting requirements etc.

– Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for both care staff and service users.

– Have good communication skills and interact well with service users and others.

– Provide cover when other team members take annual leave or are absent for other reasons.

– Have a good ability to work as part of a team and independently when required.
